Canadian Tire Return Policy Explained in Detail
Canadian Tire offers great customer service and a generous return policy. If you’re unhappy with anything you purchased at Canadian Tire, you can return it for free within 60 days.
Can I Return It?
You can return any item purchased at Canadian Tire within 60 days of purchase. Simply bring the receipt to any Canadian Tire location and ask for a refund.
Does Canadian Tire Charge a Restocking Fee?
No, they do not charge a restocking fee. However, it is up to the store’s discretion if they will accept opened items; items returned without a receipt; or defective or damaged items returned past the refund time limit.
When Will I Get My Refund?
If you purchased your item online, you should receive your refund within seven to 14 business days after returning your item.
If you purchased your item in store, your refund should be processed immediately. If paying by cash, you’ll get a cash refund; if paying my credit card or through debit, you should see the charge reversed within seven to 14 days.
Will I Get Store credit or Cash Back?
Whether you purchased an item online or in-store, you should get cash back—or a refund through the method of initial payment—as long as you return the item(s) with a receipt and in unused, original condition.
You will get store credit if you:
- Return an item after the refund time limit—between 30 and 90 days, depending on the item.
- Return an item without a receipt.
- Return a damaged or defective item (with or without receipt).
Keep in mind, that this will be up to the manager’s discretion.
